BUSHI BAN NATIONALS
Berkley got a silver medal for second place. When they called her name to come up and get her medal, she thought that was the best thing ever. She was SO Proud... She got second in the 3-5 year old division. The boy she competed against got 1st.
She was the youngest kid in the pinning division.
Berkley loves her trophy. It stands at over 4 feet tall. She wanted to carry it herself all through the gymnasium. She loved when people would ask her about her trophy and her medal. Did I mention how proud she was of her herself.
This is the main MASTER and he just loves Berkley. He was so excited when he saw her there all dressed up in uniform. Right after the pinning division, he came over to have a pinning match with Berkley. He was throwing her up in the air and flipping her way up high. Everyone there had their eyes on them. She loved it...
This was on Saturday the 27Th. All the kiddos waiting patiently for their instructions. They were all 6 years of age and younger.
This was the Sword & Shield division. Berkley lost this match 8-3. The girl she went against ended up in the night time finals and came into second place only losing to a 6 year old boy that was far more advanced. She was really good and knew exactly what to do.
Berkley told us weeks before her competition that she wanted to have a party when it was over. She said she wanted strawberry cake with white icing and red roses on top. One other request was purple and pink balloons. So we did just that... We went to Mimi and Pop-Pops and had her party. We went swimming and all hung out.
WHAT FUN!!!

ROUND 2 :
She was an ANGEL.....
They put some kind of dye on her teeth that turned them pink. If they turned dark pink in any areas it would show where we need to be brushing. Great news is we're getting all of them. They stayed pink and Miss B loved that her teeth were pink. Then they gave her some nausea medicine. Though to learn later they should of given her the whole bottle. When it was time to go back they took Berkley and told us to wait in the waiting room. I still don't understand that and was not happy waiting and not knowing what was going on. About 45 minutes passed and then we got to see her waking up. By the way she was given something to go to sleep. Good news is when the dentist was cleaning, sealing, and filling the 1 cavity, he did not find anything else. Said she did great and don't have to go back for 6 months. Told us she would be sleepy. Driving home was a different story: poor thing she couldn't keep her eyes open, it was so sad. And to top that off she started throwing up all over the place. I had to pull over and take everything off. The sad thing was she wasn't even upset - not even crying. It was like she had no idea what was going on. Two hours later she is now fine and eating some crackers and drinking water. So well see. So glad this appointment is over with. What a nightmare.
Berkley was PERFECT! That is the girl I know and LOVE.

Operation Marley...may never happen?
She currently has TWO big teeth coming in on the bottom and looks like #23 (that's Michael Jordan for all the youngsters) moving her tongue all over the place to comfort her large incoming teeth.
We'll continue to keep everyone updated and appreciate all the prayers and kind words we've received thus far.
Oh yeah....GEAUX Tigers...beat the Rice Hooty Hoos...I mean Owls!
