Marley's 9 Month Check-Up

Weighs 23.4 - 97%

Height or Length 29 1/4 - 97%

Head Size 17 3/4 - 92%

Doc says looks healthy and developing just as she should be. Umbilical Hernia closed all the way, NO SURGERY on that. There is some extra skin around the belly button but as she grows that will go away. SO excited about that. For those of you that don't know Miss Berkley had an umbilical hernia as well and had surgery on it at the age of two. That was a very hard day and we're thrilled Miss Marley doesn't have to go through that.

1 down - 1 to go.

We visit the Neurologist again on August 4Th. And he will re - evaluate her ridge on her forehead. Cross your fingers, we'll see.

BUSHI BAN NATIONALS

Berkley had her 1st Competition Ever in front of a huge crowd. She did AWESOME!!!! She looked pretty comfortable in what she was doing. Actually looked like she had done this before. We were so happy for her and you could tell she was happy for herself. She competed in three different categories: Pinning, Star Set & Sword/Shield.

This was the pinning division which was held on Friday, June 26Th. This was her opponent and unfortunately she lost with a score of 6-2 pins. The very first pin went to Berkley. She layed him flat on his back and you could tell he was surprised and didn't like it very much. The very next pin he got Berkley pretty quick. So the final score was his 6 pins to Berkley's 2 pins. She did really good and had a GREAT TIME!

Berkley got a silver medal for second place. When they called her name to come up and get her medal, she thought that was the best thing ever. She was SO Proud... She got second in the 3-5 year old division. The boy she competed against got 1st.

The funny thing is there was only two kids in the whole division. Berkley didn't understand that part, she just knows she placed second and got a prize. WAY TO GO BERKLEY!!!

She was the youngest kid in the pinning division.

This is Berkley's Head Coach Mrs.Sara

Berkley loves her trophy. It stands at over 4 feet tall. She wanted to carry it herself all through the gymnasium. She loved when people would ask her about her trophy and her medal. Did I mention how proud she was of her herself.

This is the main MASTER and he just loves Berkley. He was so excited when he saw her there all dressed up in uniform. Right after the pinning division, he came over to have a pinning match with Berkley. He was throwing her up in the air and flipping her way up high. Everyone there had their eyes on them. She loved it...

This was on Saturday the 27Th. All the kiddos waiting patiently for their instructions. They were all 6 years of age and younger.

This was the Sword & Shield division. Berkley lost this match 8-3. The girl she went against ended up in the night time finals and came into second place only losing to a 6 year old boy that was far more advanced. She was really good and knew exactly what to do.

Berkley told us weeks before her competition that she wanted to have a party when it was over. She said she wanted strawberry cake with white icing and red roses on top. One other request was purple and pink balloons. So we did just that... We went to Mimi and Pop-Pops and had her party. We went swimming and all hung out.

WHAT FUN!!!
